As environmental concerns and awareness spread in the last few years, we all understand that saving the environment is the need of the hour. At Grovy India, we believe that we all need to do our bit to ensure that we save the environment and contribute to the collective efforts being made by the society to do the same. One of the ways in which we can contribute to these efforts, Rain Water Harvesting.
We all are hearing about rain water harvesting for quite some time. What exactly is it and why should we do it?
1) For one obvious reasons – Be a part of the solution rather than being a part of the problem. Do your bit and motivate your family, community, society and the government to do their bit as well. We at Grovy India are also determined to do our bit on this front.
2) There are several incentives that are now available to home owners who install rain water harvesting system in their homes. These include monetary incentives, such as a 10% rebate in the water bill for all plot/properties above 100 square metres for installing and running rain water harvesting system. If you live in a housing society, each member from that society will also get a 10% rebate in the water bill if thee society has installed a functional rain water harvesting system as per the guidelines
3) Another key reason to install functional rain water harvesting systems is to ensure that you abide by the law which makes it mandatory for all new buildings or plots 100 square metres and above to have a functional RWH system in their premises.
PLEASE REMEMBER, RAIN WATER HARVESTING IS MANDATORY IN DELHI.
At Grovy India, we have spent considerable time in understanding the need and devising a solution to ensure that your house is geared to harvest the rain water and manage it.
The regulations from the Delhi Jal Board state that water connection to a new house will be granted only when the Zonal Engineer of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) certifies that you have provided the requisite systems in the building plans sanctioned by the MCD/DDA/any other land developing authority.
You need to ensure that the builder you select to build or reconstruct your house understands all the legal and technical aspects of rain water harvesting and has the capability to ensure that a functional system is installed without making it one more headache for you to solve. When you engage Grovy India to build your house, we will ensure that all the design specifications are met satisfactorily and that you will not face any issues later.
