Greater Kailash and Grovy - Prime Constructions

Builder in Greater Kailash for constructing luxurious bungalows, independent houses and builder floors

When office colleagues and friends in South Delhi discuss where the best grocery items can be found, the response mostly is “Morning Stores”, a departmental grocery store known for keeping the rarest of grocery items. It is in the heart of South Delhi, M Block Market, Greater Kailash Part I.

Greater Kailash, also known as GK, is an affluent, upmarket, and iconic residential area in South Delhi. It has four parts – GK I and II being the original pockets and more iconic, with GK III and IV being added later. Masjid Moth and the areas around it is GK III, and GK IV comprises of Alaknanda, Godavari and Yamuna apartment complexes. The who’s who of business, politics, law, media, and education stay in Greater Kailash. Some of the finest luxurious bungalows, independent houses, builder-developed fashionable apartments, and villas are there in GK – I and II, mostly. The proximity of GK I and II to South Extension, Kalkaji, Chittaranjan Park, and Nehru Place makes it a prime residential and business location.

Greater Kailash is well connected with different parts of the city via the Ring Roads, and metro. GK I and II are linked by the Inner Ring Road. GK Part I and II, are further linked to GK III and GK IV via the Outer Ring Road and many well-maintained arterial roads.

Both, GK I and II, have their own M Block markets that boast of the choicest eateries, bakeries, departmental stores, some of the best international and national luxurious brands, and niche family-owned small shops that keep some of the finest stuff in town. Some of the reputed schools are also in the vicinity. Frank Antony, Bluebells, Summer Fields, Don Bosco, K R Mangalam and Delhi Public School, besides many others are close by. GK I and II are also close to big city hospitals like AIIMS, Fortis La Femme, Saket City Hospital, Max Saket, and Sukhda Hospitals besides many other small speciality clinics.

The entire area is full of lush green foliage – huge trees and well-maintained parks. The Siri Fort Park and Hauz Khas Forest areas are close by. Commercially, some of the major business establishments are around GK I, Nehru Place (stone’s throw from GK 1), and GK II. Media houses, five-star hotels, premium corporate houses, and famous gyms and spas have chosen this area for their business. Therefore, property requirements are high in this area and builders in South Delhi lose no opportunity to develop this part of the capital.

GK is also surrounded by some popular tourist spots found in the city. The ISKCON temple, Kalkaji Mandir, and the Lotus Temple are close by. Chittaranjan Park that is very close to GK I and II, almost becomes mini-Kolkata during Durgapuja celebrations. This is another reason why builders find this area so lucrative to develop. In the last decade or two, while moving around South Delhi, one can always see buildings being constructed in and around GK I, II, III, and IV on a massive scale.

However, because of all this, GK is not without its woes. Noise pollution due to constant traffic snarls, traffic jams, parking area issues, and crimes are some of the negatives that trouble its residents.

Notwithstanding these irritants, the benefits that the four GKs provide is huge. The established social, civic, and economic infrastructure, the retail opportunities, the connectivity, and the premium ambience of GK will keep attracting investors. Grovy India Limited, that is constantly setting new standards in the construction business, and raising the bar, is looking at developing GK in an extraordinary way that will change the entire construction perspective in South Delhi. While most independent houses have been developed by builders into customized multi-storied apartments, Grovy is looking at developing boutique apartments, classy luxurious bungalows, and state-of-the-art office complexes that would almost change the GK real estate scenario.
